For those of you are teaching about mean, mode, median, and range, here is a poem that might help the students to remember better.
The mean is the average,
Don't you hear me say?
Add 'em all up
And divide away!
The mode is the most
You're going to see!
Gram 'em all up
For you and me!
The median is in the middle
Of the numbers in a row.
It's always in the middle
Of the crowd, you know!
Now I'm going to tell you
About the range.
Listen up
'Cause it's a little strange!
You find the high (clap up high),
You find the low (clap down low),
Sbutract the two (clap, clap),
And there you go! (cheer)
